Additional Information :Dr Marzouk completed his MBBS, MS and MD (General Surgery) in 2006 and 2010, from Cairo University, Egypt. He was awarded the International Master degree of Minimally invasive Surgery and New Technologies (Laparoscopic and Robotic surgery) from Catania University, Italy in the year 2009.
He passed the Intercollegiate Membership of Royal College of Surgeons exam in 2009 and since that time he is a nominated member in the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS -England).
Dr Marzouk has a vast experience in the field of general surgery specially in laparoscopic and colorectal surgery, as he started his career as a resident of general and laparoscopic surgery in 2003, faculty of medicine, Cairo university Kasr Al Ainy Hospital, and was promoted to assistant lecturer (specialist) in 2008 and then lecturer (Consultant) in 2011 and throughout this experience he was particularly interested in general, laparoscopic and colorectal surgery.
He has worked as a consultant of general and laparoscopic surgey in (MOH) Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for one year.
Dr Marzouk has received training in the field of laparoscopic surgery in many prestigious laparoscopic centers in Italy including Monaldi Hospital, Napoli, Careggi University Hospital, Florence, (Istittuto Clinico Humanitus, Milan, S. Agostino Hospital, Modena and Miulli Hospital, Acquaviva della fonti, Bari.
He has also attended many training courses and workshops such as International workshop in Minimally invasive surgery, April 2009, Covidien European Training Centre, Elancourt, France, Workshop of laparoscopic Hernia repair, Ospedale Canizzaro, 2008 – Catania
He was the moderator trainer in Minimally Invasive Operating Techniques in Inguinal & Ventral hernia repair workshop, February 2010, Learning Resource Centre, Faculty of medicine, Cairo University, Egypt.
He has many publications to his credit and has presented many papers in international conferences and has conducted interactive sessions in the field of colorectal and laparoscopic surgery in local conferences in Egypt.
Dr Marzouk is an active member of The Royal College of Surgeons of England, Egyptian Society of Laparoscopic Surgery (ESLS), The European Association for Endoscopic Surgery (EAES), and The Egyptian group of Colon and Rectum surgery.
He specializes in General, Laparoscopic and colorectal surgery and takes special interest in laparoscopic cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hernia repair, weight loss surgery and many general surgery procedures.
He can speak English and Arabic
